STARTING FROM ZERO
Research of the Possibilities on ”Moving Posters”

Grafist, The Istanbul Graphic Design Week, is an Istanbul based graphic design event organized by Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Graphic Design Department since 1997.

Starting From Zero, has been set up by seven postgraduates within Graphic Design Department master program Animation course. They scrutinized motion in graphic design, with a fresh angle.

As new design forms are introduced by new technological phenomena, we see that posters benefitting from various possibilities of motion have come to the forefront. As the motion poster develops its own language and begins to define its own structures, we examined the elements affecting the motion in the poster with seven approaches, and from these approaches, we complete the research by producing seven motion posters.
